We want your Rezaroma candles to bring joy, atmosphere, and aromatic inspiration into your space. To ensure the best performance, longevity, and safety, please follow our candle care guidelines below.
Burning Your Candle for the First Time
- Allow the wax to melt across the entire surface to the edges of the vessel before extinguishing. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn. This may take 2–4 hours.
Wick Trimming & Maintenance
- Always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn to promote a steady flame and reduce sooting or mushrooming.
- After each burn, trim the wick to 1/4 to 1/8 inch to prevent smoking or burning the sides of the glass.
- Use proper wick trimmers for a clean cut and easier maintenance.
Burn Duration & Fragrance Preservation
- Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time to preserve the fragrance quality.
- To maximize scent throw, burn in the desired room for 30 minutes with doors closed. Avoid drafty areas or open windows.
Keeping Your Candle Clean
- Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, or any debris.
- If soot forms on the inside of the vessel, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, and wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Safe Candle Extinguishing
- Use a snuffer to extinguish the flame, or dip the wick into melted wax and straighten it. Avoid blowing out the flame to prevent splattering.
- If the flame smokes, flickers excessively, or gets too high, extinguish the candle. Let it cool, trim the wick, and check for drafts before relighting.
Storage & Cleaning
- Store candles in a cool, dark, and dry place away from direct sunlight or harsh lighting.
- Remove dust or fingerprints using a soft cloth (dry or slightly damp). Nylon cloth also works well for polishing the surface.
Final Burn Guidelines
- Never burn your candle all the way down. Stop use when 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.
- Always burn candles within sight and never leave them unattended.
